Drupal Back-end Developer

Role Context:
Top quality experienced Drupal developers are sought to join Capgemini UK’s fast growing Drupal team which is the premier Drupal capability for Enterprise customers. Its remit is to design, build and support some of the largest, most comprehensive and most innovative enterprise web and mobile platforms in existence online.


Role Objectives:
• Actively and proactively working closely with project managers, solution architects, business analysts, testers and content/data migrations consultants, as well as the teams working on development and configuration of non-Drupal components such as SaaS, Customer management and eCommerce components amongst others

Function requirements

Skills/Experience:
• Strong Drupal Development (Mandatory)
• Strong Drupal Configuration (Mandatory)
• Excellent knowledge of common Drupal Modules E.g. Views, Services 3, Commerce, Features, Rules, Panels, Context etc (Mandatory)
• Strong General Web Dev – PHP5, MySQL (Mandatory) ActiveMQ/Camel (Desirable)
• LAMP familiarity (Mandatory)
• Understanding of performance and scalability challenges on large projects
• Version control systems (SVN or Git Mandatory)
• Complex applications integration (Mandatory)
• Formal development methodology – Agile / Scrum / Kanban / XP (Mandatory)
• Full development lifecycle experience (Mandatory)
• Good Communication Skills (Mandatory)

• Complex Web Site Content migration (Desirable)
• Other Enterprise-scale Drupal aspects: Multisite, Multi-language, Large Scale Configuration Management, Continuous Integration, Release Management, Features, Drush, Reverse Proxies & Traffic Management, CDNs, Pressflow, Memcached, CI, Puppet etc (Highly Desirable)
